TRACE Engines L.P. Diversifies Business and Announces the Acquisition of Tulsa TowBots, LLC.

MIDLAND, TX (July 9, 2009) – As a part of TRACE Engines L.P. business strategy, today the company announced the acquisition of Tulsa TowBots, LLC, which manufactured the remote control, towing unit that safely moves a 30,000 pound aircraft with one person, operating from any vantage point. This purchase is a key acquisition to supplement TRACE’s growing aircraft engine company.

The TowBot already had a great reputation, with ten configuration modes, allowing owners to change their iTowBot to numerous configurations for the multiple aircraft owner. “It offers versatility ranging from the single owner operator to larger operations choosing to put flexibility in moving aircraft or aircraft parts in a safe manner preventing damage. At one third the price of a conventional tug, no longer is someone limited to sitting on the tug, instead, a person is free to walk around the object being moved spotting for potential danger before it happens” said David Czarnecki, Chief Operating Officer at TRACE.

Trace’s primary focus will be on the General Aviation market segment. “This is priced right and its competition is limited.” The iTowBots are available through TRACE, distributed through Cessna Parts Distribution channels and available at the Cessna Service Centers. “We feel our agreement with Cessna clearly shows the commitment we have to our customers”, said Czarnecki. TRACE will be exhibiting the iTowBot with the TRACE 600hp, Aircraft Engine at Oshkosh in July, Reno Air Championship Races in September and the Air Show in Midland, TX in October.

TRACE Engines L.P. is a manufacturer of the TRACE Engine, which is a 600 horsepower, FAA Type Certified Engine. TRACE TowBots is owned by TRACE Engines L.P. For more information, visit www.tracetowbots.com.
